Events
Black & Ginger attend wine and food events throughout the year, including regional events such as the iconic Grampians Grape Escape and regularly feature on the Urban Wine Walk. As members of Grampians Wine we showcase our wines at An Evening in the Vines, annual pop-up in January, Red Series in Ballarat in July and Grampians in a Glass in Melbourne during August. We regularly collaborate with local chefs and venues to bring exciting events to you.
Looking for a place to stay for your visit? Look no further than Hounds Run Vineyard, the home of Black & Ginger Wines. A private vineyard retreat — off-grid Tiny House with 360° Grampians views. Sit at the top of the vineyard as the vines turn gold and the Grampians range stretches to the horizon. Pour
a glass of Black & Ginger Lily’s Block Shiraz. Watch the sun set over the Grampians.
This is Hounds Run in autumn — and there is nowhere else quite like it.

Mrs Smith's Trivia
Mrs Smith, the Queen of Melbourne Pub Trivia is coming to Pomonal and we’re co-hosting alongside Barney’s Bar & Bistro… Don’t miss out! Bookings via Barney’s Bar & Bistro
Time Out Melbourne and Just Melbourne voted Mrs Smith’s Trivia the best and no.1 in Melbourne for her fast-talking, high-vibe, popular show. Mrs Smith has been slinging sassy questions about pop culture, music and bizarre trivialities to pub punters for over 25 years and continues to retain the ‘Trivia Queen’ title.
‘A fast game is a good game and we’re here for a good time not a long time’
– Mrs Smith.

Blacky's Bottles: Nebbiolo Showdown
Come and join us for the first edition of Blacky’s Bottles.
We have collected a bunch of 2021 Nebbiolo’s from various producers across Australia. Instead of enjoying them one by one, we thought we’d love to compare them to each other. So, whether you know lots or nothing about Nebbiolo, here’s your opportunity to taste 10 at once!

Prints & Pours
A Printmaking Workshop with Ash van Dyck
We love an excuse to get creative at the Wine Shed, and this one might be our most hands-on yet. Join us for an evening of relief printmaking with local interdisciplinary artist Ash van Dyck. No experience needed — just curiosity, a little creativity, and a willingness to get inky.
